Our goal is to help families who want to become foster parents attain their
dreams.
Q. Why foster care?
A. Too many children are abandoned, abused
or
neglected
and need temporary homes. Their families are often struggling through major
crises.
Q. Do you need my help?

A. Yes! There is a critical shortage of foster
homes for children of all racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Children
range in age from birth to 18 years.
Q.
Who can be a foster parent?
A. Foster parents come from all segments of
society and backgrounds. They can be married or single. Foster parents can own
their own home or rent. However, living quarters must be large enough to provide
space, privacy and safety for all family members and comply with state
regulations.
Q. Can I afford to
care for a foster child?
A. Yes. As a foster parent, you are reimbursed for
taking a child into your home. This includes a check for daily expenses and a
clothing allowance. Medical expenses are covered by Medicaid. Throughout the
child's placement, you will work with a professional team of social workers and
service providers.
Q. How do I begin?
